Academic

Vocabulary Practice - Practice drilling vocabulary to increase comfort reading and word bank for writing.

English Test/Exam preparation - Practice drilling for specific English tests and exams as long as there is a rubric for it, I will come up with a plan to prepare you for it.

Assignment/homework support -Bespoke assignment support for students depending on their needs.

Personal Statement writing (Admissions Essay) - For Secondary School/High School students looking to write an admissions or personal statement essay to enter to a new school or institution.

English grammar curated course - What are the points of English grammar that are most challenging for the student? Will explore with the student and figure out which plan works best.

Essay writing practice-based coaching - Training and support on various academic papers, and drilling based on research and what works for the paper, also holistic teaching on Essay writing as a whole.

Literature

Reading comprehension - We will work on reading particular creative and literary works with accompanying questions to enhance understanding.

Listening comprehension - Student will be read or will listen to specific works, and be able to work on interpreting what was said and analyzing it.

IB IO preparation - Helping to prepare for the IO with a personalized plan, working with the student on the details of their IO, and helping the student to be clear about their proposal.

Everyday Life

American English Pronunciation Practice - I am a native English speaker with an American accent, I will be able to support with pronunciation questions and practice.

English for Travel - I've lived internationally and traveled to several countries, if there's need for understanding directional questions/how to travel well in English, I can support.

Interview Preparation - Want someone to practice an interview with no pressure? I can support you with tips based on interview trends and be a helpful external view for your interview preparation.

What I offer (packages):

Trial sessions are one-off and non-committal. After that, you can select 4 to 20 hours monthly package sessions to help you reach your goals.

Monthly package commitment lengths:

• 4 1hr sessions (standard) (e.g. One session per week)

• 8 1hr sessions (e.g. Two sessions per week)

• 12 1hr sessions (e.g. Three sessions per week)

• 20 1hr sessions* (good for long-term needs) (e.g. a few sessions per week for three-four months)

*Up to 8 sessions per month

Educator's Approach:

Practice-Based

• In my lessons/classes, my students/clients will get curated practice work, fit for your learning needs. I believe in-class learning builds up important memory muscles and helps to retain information faster. It also helps to be in touch with the learning material practically.

• Exercises and research moments will occur within class time for encouragement, motivation, and accountability.

• Sometimes additional engaging learning activities will be given (like reading a story, or watching a video) so that it can be discussed in following classes as necessary.

Active

• As an active participant in the class with students/clients, I will provide engaging questions and support by collaborating and spurring on new ideas.

• I'm a life-long learner and will continue to learn to support constant growth and improvement.

• The classes/lessons will be adjusted depending on student/client needs.

Holistic

• I take a holistic approach to all I do, caring about the overall well-being of all my students/clients.

• The goal is growth, which means finding the right systems to accomplish long-term educational goals, may be as essential as acing a test.

• There will be opportunities to play games and have learning fun in the sessions.
